Responsibilities

Support labor and employment litigation matters in both state and federal court
Manage cases from inception through trial, settlement, or appeal
Draft, review, and revise pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and correspondence
Maintain case files, discovery logs, and document indices
Coordinate and manage document productions and eDiscovery workflows
Assist with deposition, hearing, and trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness materials
Cite-check legal briefs and verify legal and factual citations
Work closely with litigation support teams on database management using iPro or similar platforms
Meet an annual 1,575 billable hour requirement
Work extended hours and travel as needed for case support

Required

Ability to work and bill as a paralegal under California Business & Professions Code §6450
Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved institution
Minimum 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a California law firm or in-house legal department
Strong knowledge of California and federal court procedures and local rules
Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat Pro
Experience using Westlaw and/or Lexis
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and high ethical standards

Preferred

Bachelor's degree
Experience with eDiscovery platforms (iPro or similar)
