Responsibilities
Work in a team of highly skilled software and cross functional engineers responsible for delivering software solutions that enables the ever-increasing miniaturization of semiconductor technology
Provide leadership in hard and soft real time domain with complex hardware interfaces and various communication protocols and platforms (Xilinx SOC, PLC, TCP/IP, Ethercat, etc.)
Drive Agile methodology to develop the software using C++ and Python on Linux OS environments
Create designs and Implement code that are modular, scalable, robust and meet customer requirements
Perform unit testing and on-target testing to ensure the software meets the high-quality standards our customers expect
Evaluation of technical issues, risks, and dependencies for projects
Interface with stakeholders to gather a complete understanding of their requirements
Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture
Lead continuous process improvement activities aimed at ensuring the processes and tools used throughout the software development lifecycle are increasing the team’s ability to develop high quality software in the most efficient manner
Perform other duties as assigned or required
Qualification
Required
Minimum of BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related Eng/Science fields with solid experience, or equivalent working and thinking level
Minimum of 7+ years in technical development role with strong software engineering skills
Delivered 3+ mid to large scale software projects with demonstrable quality
Proven ability to guide a team in coding efforts for a distributed control system
The coding will require programming in different languages (C++, Python) on different OS environments (VxWorks, Linux)
Strong C++/Python knowledge, Object Oriented Design principles and embedded development
Ability to handle aggressive deadlines with agility and results driven approach
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to translate, statistically analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats
Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building
Ability to quickly develop and understand complex control systems including embedded real-time, application layers, CORBA interface and its associated hardware environment
Ability to independently determine technical solutions, including test documentation
Technical expert in data management, TCP/IP, and other similar communication protocols
Ability to follow a Software Development Process that includes elements of planning, estimation, gathering and analyzing requirements, developing concepts and designs, implementation, developing and executing test plans and engaging in work product reviews
Ability to interact effectively with other team members as well as individuals in other disciplines and organizations
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Some travel is required
Preferred
Experience in leadership or designing software for a complex multi-processor distributed control system is a plus
Hands on experience with refactoring for performance and scalability – complex multi-processor distributed control system is a plus
Understanding NLP techniques for building chatbots, sentiment analysis, and language models is a plus
Proficiency in AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and Hugging Face Transformers is a plus
