Databricks Associate Director
Primis is a rapidly growing Data & AI consultancy expanding its US leadership team. They are hiring an Associate Director specializing in Databricks, responsible for shaping platform strategy, technical delivery, and capability development across a high‑performing data engineering function.
Responsibilities
Own and evolve the organisation’s Databricks proposition, including delivery frameworks, commercial strategy, reusable IP, and go‑to‑market initiatives
Support presales activities such as scoping, solution architecture, proof of concepts, and proposal development
Act as a senior technical sponsor across Databricks programmes, ensuring performance, governance, and security best practices
Provide delivery assurance and escalation support for complex Databricks deployments, particularly in regulated industries
Co‑lead strategic collaboration with technology partners to support joint initiatives and capability growth
Work cross‑functionally with data engineering, AI, analytics, and platform teams to deliver modern data platform solutions
Oversee delivery governance including project tracking, margin protection, and quality reviews
Develop accelerators, frameworks, and reusable templates to scale Databricks adoption across clients
Qualification
Required
Must have valid work authorization in the US
Proven experience designing and delivering production‑grade Databricks solutions in cloud or hybrid environments
Strong understanding of cloud‑native data architectures and modern data engineering practices
Ability to mentor and grow technical teams while driving adoption of best practices and reusable frameworks
Strong communication skills across engineering teams, stakeholders, and executive audiences
Consulting or enterprise‑scale experience delivering complex data platform engagements
Commercial experience supporting presales, pricing, and technical proposal development
