The role involves ensuring accurate material movement, performing finishing and cleaning operations, and handling raw materials to maintain inventory integrity and quality standards.

Responsibilities
Ensure accurate material movement
Transport fabricated parts using parts carts to the next operation in the fabrication process
Accurately record part movement in ERP system to maintain inventory integrity
Verify part quantities and labels before movement to prevent errors in downstream operations
Monitor and communicate any material shortages, delays, or discrepancies to the appropriate team members
Perform deburring, polishing, passivation and straightening processes to meet quality standards
Perform cleaning operations on raw materials to prepare them for fabrication
Inspect finished and cleaned parts to verify they meet visual and dimensional requirements
Maintain finishing and cleaning equipment, reporting wear or issues to ensure consistent performance
Accurately move raw materials between warehouses using the ERP system
Safety operate forklifts to transport materials and assist with loading and unloading trucks
Verify raw material identification, quantities, and heat numbers to ensure correct usage in fabrication
Store materials in designated locations to maintain organization, traceability, and safe warehouse conditions
Foster open communication, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration while upholding Aagard's values of Winning, Together, Honorably, Passionately, and Positively
Recommend and implement best practices to prioritize safety, improve productivity, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain professional interactions with customers and vendors, representing Aagard accurately and positively
Overtime may be required based on business and customer needs. Team members may be asked to work before or after their scheduled shift or on non-regular workdays

Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Observant with attention to detail
Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers verbally and in writing
Experience or training with computers and ability to learn and use Aagard specific software
Proficient keyboarding skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Conscientious of meeting and exceeding internal and external customers needs
Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb
Valid driver's license required
Preferred
Previous shipping, receiving, and inventory experience
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
Ability to operate or be trained to operate a forklift
