Responsibilities
Supporting the partner in trust and estate administration matters
Draft pleadings, petitions, motions, trust and probate administration documents
Assist with trust and probate litigation matters as needed
Conduct depositions and support discovery and case strategy
Perform legal research using Fastcase and other tools
Manage files, billing, and case workflow through Clio and OneDrive
Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to move matters forward efficiently
Maintain consistent communication with the legal team on deadlines and case progress
Contribute to the development and growth of the firm’s trust and estate administration practice
Qualification
Required
Active California Bar license
2-10+ years of attorney experience
Some general civil litigation experience
Deposition experience
Background in trust & estate, estate planning, civil litigation, business, real estate, employment, personal injury or similar transferable practice areas
Experience working in a law firm environment with billable hours
Professional, reliable, and respectful demeanor
Comfortable working in a dog-friendly office
