Responsibilities
Manage and reconcile organizational finances using QuickBooks
Oversee more than $100,000 in organizational funds with accuracy and confidentiality
Maintain thorough, consistent financial records that support decision-making
Prepare clear, block-by-block budget reports for internal use and Board review
Administer payments to contributors in a timely and accurate manner
Partner closely with the other Co-Treasurer to coordinate financial decisions and reporting
Report to and communicate regularly with the Board of Directors, ensuring transparency and accountability
Help refine and uphold financial policies, procedures, and long-term fiscal strategies
Operate within a nonprofit management structure and understand compliance expectations
Apply sound judgment in advising on financial decisions and resource allocation
Identify and evaluate potential investment or fund-growth opportunities, subject to Board approval
Support the mission-driven approach of Cutler Publications in all financial practices
Maintain a flexible, self-directed work schedule while meeting reporting deadlines
Uphold strict privacy and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial and employee information
Qualification
Required
Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior at Colorado College
Understanding of basic accounting principles
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage self-directed tasks
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn about nonprofit financial operations and the responsibilities of organizational stewardship
