Responsibilities

This role involves inventory management, creative merchandising, and collaboration with the in-house bakery team to drive sales and achieve category goals
Create and maintain visually attractive product displays that align with company standards, seasonal trends, and promotional campaigns
Regularly review sales performance with your Deli Manager and Deli Retail Merchandiser to adjust order quantities and ensure stock aligns with department goals and budget
Prepare and place orders for bakery items, including PCC Commissary items and ingredients in alignment with sales forecasts, promotions, and seasonal demands
Rotate products regularly to ensure freshness and manage inventory effectively to minimize waste
Design eye-catching displays that align with company standards to promote key items and sales
Timely execution of seasonal displays and promotional setups
Collaborate with the Deli Retail Merchandiser to execute themed displays, special promotions, and holiday features in alignment with company standards
Work closely with the in-house bakery team to align merchandising efforts with daily production
Monitor inventory levels to ensure shelves are fully stocked and appropriately rotated
Minimize shrink by ensuring proper handling, storage, and presentation of products
Work with the Deli Manager to maintain open communication with other departments to support cross-merchandising opportunities

Required

Has a passion for merchandising and supports our vendor and PCC Bakery department
Strong visual merchandising skills with attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Proficiency in basic math for inventory management
Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment
Strong time management and creative problem-solving skills
Exceptional level of performance in current role including consistently providing excellent, professional customer service and demonstrating knowledge of health and safety codes
Demonstrated proficiency in all relevant Bakery practices or equivalent external experience
Open availability to accommodate flexible scheduling needs for training including mornings, evenings, weekdays, and weekends
Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion and lifting 10-40lbs regularly
