Start in 2026 SummerUnited Airlines is on a path towards becoming the best airline in the history of aviation, and they are seeking an intern in Facilities and GSE Maintenance for Summer 2026. The intern will work alongside Technical Operations professionals on various projects related to Ground Support Equipment and facilities maintenance, gaining real-world experience in engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities
Clean, obtain and organize operational data and enhance existing dashboards (ex. Spotfire, Tableau)
Review, categorize and index OEM manuals, blueprints and training materials
Prepare cost analysis on projects
Analyze equipment utilization metrics and root-cause to improve processes
Communicate analysis results to all levels of the organization
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another related field
Must have a minimum of 12 semester hours in core degree course work
Individual should be a rising junior (at minimum) when internship begins
Must be available for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2026
Work related travel may be required, individuals must be able to travel without any restrictions
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship now or at any point in the future
