Insurance Sales Person

Farmers Insurance District 31 is a dynamic agency dedicated to providing comprehensive insurance solutions. As an Associate Insurance Agent, you will be trained to sell various types of insurance while benefiting from extensive support and mentorship to kickstart your career in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

Trained to sell Property, Casualty, Life and Health insurance
You will obtain your insurance producer licensed in Property, Casualty, Life and Health from the state of MN
6-12 months in the program (Time is based upon each person individually)
Work closely with the Agent to gain an understanding of the Agent role
Work closely with your District Office to gain coaching and mentoring for the Agent role
Will be provided with leads and clientele to help generate sales
Immersed into the Farmers Insurance culture and the insurance industry as a whole
Contact 10-15 prospects per day via phone
Gather and qualify lead information for each household
Prepare sales quotes and presentations
Follow-up with prospects and customers
Meet with customers face-to-face and/or via phone for sales presentations
Setup and establish new household accounts

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Must hold relevant state insurance licenses (Property & Casualty, Life & Health) or be willing to obtain them within a specified timeframe
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to negotiate effectively and close sales
Experience in outside sales and retail sales environments
Familiarity with customer service principles and practices
Ability to be coachable and take initiative
Experienced with popular computer software (MS products, etc.)
Highly driven and motivated
Competitive

bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field
