Responsibilities

Coordinate all day-to-day manufacturing related activities within a facility that produces thermoformed plastic products for all shift operation

Manage personnel including selection, training, evaluation, and discipline in accordance with company policies and procedures

Foster a positive, results-oriented work environment that is focused on quality, on-time delivery, continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methods. Organizational personnel include department/shift leads, press operators, material handlers, machine maintenance, die setters, scheduling, shipping/receiving and facilities maintenance

Manage all aspects of the manufacturing and production operations to ensure production schedules are met in accordance with customer demand and delivery commitments

Monitor key plant production and quality metrics and analyze statistical data to make recommendations that improve production and quality performance

Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering and Program Managers in the generation of production schedules, forecasts, materials requirements, and maintenance plans

Coordinate all material handling required to receive and maintain raw inventory, supply production, package and ship finished goods and handle waste generated from operations

Monitor the quality of the products and make recommendations and decisions coordinated with quality management on actions to correct quality issues. Promote quality management processes

Promote and maintain adherence to the plant safety program. Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Thermoforming experiencePlastics manufacturing experienceOEE knowledgeProcess metrics analysisLean manufacturing methods

Required

Thermoforming, Extrusion or Plastics manufacturing experience is required to be considered for this position

Preferred

Experience with OEE, scrap and basic process/production metrics are preferred
