Electronics Engineering Manager – Power Supply Design (DC/DC/AC/DC)

Responsibilities

Build, lead, and mentor a team of power electronics engineers, fostering technical growth and best-practice design methodologies
Provide technical direction and oversight across multiple power supply development projects
Remain hands-on in the design, simulation, and development of DC/DC and AC/DC converters, particularly for high-voltage applications
Define architecture and topologies for next-generation power supply platforms
Oversee design verification, testing, and qualification activities
Support recruitment and onboarding of new engineering talent
Collaborate closely with systems, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product integration
Manage project timelines, resource planning, and technical risk
Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and design standards

Required

Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or similar discipline
Significant experience in power electronics design, including DC/DC and AC/DC converter development
Proven track record in high-voltage power supply design
Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
Strong knowledge of power semiconductor devices, magnetics, control loops, and thermal design
Proficiency with simulation and design tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, PCB CAD)
Hands-on experience taking designs from concept through to production
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

Experience in regulated or high-reliability industries (space, defence, medical, industrial)
Exposure to EMC compliance and safety standards for high-voltage systems
Experience scaling engineering teams in a growing organisation
