Responsibilities
Own full-cycle recruiting across all roles, from sourcing to close
Partner closely with founders and hiring managers to define role requirements and bar
Proactively source high-quality candidates through outbound, referrals, LinkedIn, and creative channels
Run first-round screens focused on culture, drive, and early-stage fit
Design and iterate on hiring processes, interviews, take-homes, and trials
Maintain a tight, organized hiring pipeline with clear ownership and follow-ups
Act as the steward of Virio’s culture throughout the hiring process
Build recruiting playbooks, scorecards, and systems as we scale
Move fast without sacrificing candidate quality or experience
Qualification
Required
Experience recruiting for startups or high-growth companies
Comfortable hiring for senior, ambiguous, or first-of-their-kind roles
Ability to assess talent beyond resumes and titles
Proactive, organized, and relentless about follow-through
Clear and direct communication with candidates and internal teams
Deep care about building strong teams and strong culture
Comfortable with intensity and long hours when needed
Desire for real ownership and accountability, not a narrow scope role
Strong judgment on people and potential
Ability to sell candidates on the mission while being honest about the work
Comfort operating without perfect process or structure
High agency and bias toward action
Willingness to iterate and improve hiring systems continuously
