Responsibilities

Develop and implement a global IT category strategy covering all elements of category management (define, analysis, execute and manage) including the engagement of key stakeholders in the process developing roadmaps based on the integrated business plan and requirements
Responsible for partnering and influencing a global team of IT stakeholders working across business areas and geographies creating a category vision and building category management capability
Execute the global IT category sourcing strategy consistent with company processes, including supplier due diligence, capability and risk assessments, requirements collection, RFP creation, proposal analysis, lead and manage complex negotiations, support business case development, redline contract terms and complete required sourcing project documentation
Manage Global IT spend, including a combination of Indirect and Direct categories using a wide range of tools to analyze the IT category (spend, market and supplier analysis), and partner with stakeholders to ensure category recommendations meet expectations (minimize risk, leverage spend, support business initiatives and future technologies) and products and services purchased are fully utilized
Lead operational efficiency efforts developing standardized IT category management tools, templates and documents which can be used globally to drive best practices, including driving the review and delivery of Year over Year (YOY) IT savings and value creation objectives
Collaboratively work with global Legal teams to ensure contract terms and conditions meet all local and regional requirements driving a high-performance culture, through focus on measurable objectives and agreed benchmarks
The role will require ~15-20% travel

Required

Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related IT Procurement and 5+ years leadership experience
Expert knowledge of the various IT licensing models and associated terms and conditions with sound commercial / contracting knowledge to enable effective contracting with suppliers
Advanced business acumen with excellent negotiation and persuasive skills with experience negotiating large, complex, single-sourced IT agreements
Knowledgeable in IT products and services, including software, hardware, cloud (IaaS, PaaS & SaaS), telecommunications and implementation services category management
Understanding of ongoing technology and associated IT supplier risks and methodologies to mitigate risks, (i.e. cybersecurity, cloud, IoT, AI/ML)
Highly developed relationship building, networking capability with the ability to engage, communicate, negotiate and influence at different levels both internally and externally with the ability to work at all levels in the organization, including interaction with C-level executives and senior management with excellent stakeholder management skills
In depth experience of leading diverse (multi-functional) and virtual teams that are geographically dispersed with strong people management skills to deliver performance management and career guidance to evolve a strong and effective Procurement function working in a complex and fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to translate complex IT procurement requirements, strategy and guidance into simple, straightforward communications, including the ability to brief global IT strategies and project status at Quarterly Business Reviews and the Global Supply Chain Council
Advanced project and time management skills

Preferred

Extensive experience and a comprehensive understanding of Procurement gained from career experience in multi-national organizations and knowledge of procurement within the defense industry
CIPS or CPSM Qualified or working towards qualification
Proactive management of suppliers to ensure the IT category vision is achieved
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex issues and make informed critical business decisions based on both judgment and innovation, as well as data/information, to develop appropriate, timely and cost-effective solutions
Understands business processes and helps improve current ways of working to increase efficiency, create best practices and drive collaboration
Guide stakeholders through the various IT Governance processes
Excellent organization skill and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to achieve objectives with the capability to work independently and as part of a larger team
