PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST I (SOLICITATION SERVICES)
The City of Kalamazoo is seeking a Procurement Specialist I to contribute significantly to the community through effective solicitation services. The role involves leading solicitations, providing exceptional customer service, and staying updated on procurement policies and best practices.

Responsibilities
Performs all direct duties related to solicitations from start to finish, to include, but not limited to leading meetings, negotiations, reporting, file maintenance, and contract issuance
Displays exceptional customer service both internally and externally
Stays abreast of procurement policies, procedures, best practices, and technology trends; and
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associates Degree, or higher, and one (1) year of relevant procurement experience; or
High school diploma or GED; and two (2) years of relevant procurement experience; and
Valid South Carolina Class “D” Driver's License
All higher education degrees must be in a business, project management, purchasing, or closely related field
Preferred
Candidates possessing CPPB, CPPO, or NIGP-CPP Certification(s)
Experience with IonWave or similar e-procurement systems
Public sector procurement experience
