Sr Mechanical Design Engineer - Conveyor Systems

Responsibilities
Lead and manage mechanical design efforts for complex projects, ensuring alignment with program requirements and standards
Lead and manage the execution of customer programs
Provide advanced problem-solving and technical guidance in design meetings and onsite situations
Attend and contribute to project turnover meetings, functional design reviews, and system design reviews
Consult on system architecture, functional specifications, and interface documents
Drive process improvement initiatives and identify procedural/tool enhancements
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, including high-risk assignments, with little or no supervision
Ensure proper documentation, drawing standards, and update practices are followed
Develop, deliver, and maintain technical training activities for the team
Monitor project progress and address mechanical risks
Support and consult with Sales, Marketing, and other engineering disciplines
Participate in lessons learned and post-mortem engineering reviews, providing expertise and historical perspective
May be required to perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
At least 6 years of progressive Mechanical Engineering experience, including leadership of complex projects and increasing responsibility
Technical proficiency in mechanical design, risk management, and process improvement
Up to 30% travel may be necessary
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience
Project Management Skills: Advanced to Mastery
Financial & Budget Knowledge: Advanced to Mastery
May supervise or mentor other engineers, but primarily functions as an individual contributor
