Technical Architect

The Nursing and Midwifery Council is responsible for delivering digital platforms and technology solutions that support its role as a regulator. As a Technical Architect, you will shape the technical architecture of solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform, analyze requirements, and produce documentation to guide implementation.

Responsibilities

Shaping the technical architecture of new solutions and enhancements built on the NMC’s Microsoft Power Platform
Analysing business and technical requirements, identifying appropriate solution options, and translating complex technical challenges into clear, implementable designs
Producing high-quality technical documentation and architecture diagrams to guide internal teams and external delivery partners through build and implementation
Identifying technical risks, advising stakeholders on potential impacts, and recommending approaches that balance security, scalability and usability
Working closely with solution architects and delivery teams to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues and ensure that solutions integrate effectively with the wider technology landscape

Required

Strong experience designing and delivering technical solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform and D365 ecosystem
Confidence to engage with complex integration and security considerations
Comfortable working across legacy and modern platforms
Enjoy solving challenging technical problems
Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to influence decisions through well-reasoned advice
Structured, methodical approach to design and delivery
Flexible and pragmatic when navigating competing priorities
Collaborative mindset and a commitment to high-quality outcomes
