Responsibilities

Technical lead in embedded hardware development for power electronic based circuit breakers

Develop product technical requirements by working together with marketing and application teams

Perform embedded design and testing tasks for hardware development

Work with team to develop control and electrical fault management algorithm and hardware using HIL

Plans work in detail at individual level as well as a technical lead, creating a robust and trackable plan, coordinated with the larger development team, including requirement definition and issue tracking

Review own work and others work in formal design and quality reviews

Tests own work or work of others, meeting quality and reliability goals

Develops a high level of technical expertise in embedded hardware design

Performs and contributes to technical research and investigations

Collaborates with teams from ERL, Electrical Sector Center of Excellence, and external technology resources (National Labs and Universities) for technology and product innovation

Follow Prelaunch and PROLaunch phase-gate new product development processes

Generates value added intellectual property

Required

BS in Engineering field, prefer Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
