Responsibilities
Assist personal injury Attorney in all aspects of personal injury pre-litigation from case inception
Draft and send letters of representation to clients, medical providers and insurance companies (any and all parties involved)
Request and follow-up with gathering supporting documents; including, but not limited to police reports, 911 calls, insurance policies, medical records, bills and/or liens, etc
Contact medical providers to verify clients’ initial treatment
Communicate with health insurance companies including private health insurance in order to obtain coverage and negotiate medical bills
Review policies, claims and other records to determine insurance coverage eligibility under Florida laws
Schedule and prepare clients for recorded statements, IME’s and EUO’s
Review, upload, and process daily correspondence delivered via email, fax or through our paperless software
Assist clients with providers and property damage claims
Maintain communication with the clients to ensure they are up to date on their treatment and case
Assist with all pre-suit communications and be the point of contact for the client, Attorney, medical providers, lien holders, insurance companies; escalate issues to Attorney, as necessary
Qualification
Required
Must be organized
Must be detail-oriented
Must be a team player
Proficiency and working knowledge of computer programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel and other systems)
Discrete approach to sensitive, confidential and complex matters
Possess a sense of initiative and ability to work well with limited supervision
English & Spanish (Bilingual) is a must
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Exercise sound judgment
Ability to prioritize and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues
Outstanding customer service skills
Strong multitasking skills in fast-paced environment
Highly organized and detail oriented
Flexibility to work overtime when necessary
Preferred
