Responsibilities
Be responsible for complex corporate accounts, including complex accruals, suspense and intercompany accounts
Assist with corporate month-end consolidations and financial reporting
Prepare a variety of monthly journal entries in areas such as: cash, prepaid amortization, capitalization, fixed asset depreciation, accruals, allocations, etc
Be responsible for daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping, cash reporting, purchasing, financial and managerial reporting, budget and forecast planning and analysis for our Association clients
Prepare analyses to support financial reporting and budgets for corporate and for Association clients
Interact with association and corporate auditors and provide necessary support
Assist with special projects
Coordinate annual tax and governmental filings for Association clients
Present monthly financial statements to Executive Director and/or Association Board of Directors
Ensure accounting data and controls are safeguarded, complete and accurate
Provide recommendations to improve efficiency in procedural workflows
Perform any other tasks to support the accounting department functions as needed
Qualification
Required
BA/BS in Accounting
4+ years of corporate accounting and finance experience
Strong analytical, presentation and leadership skills
Deep Excel skills
Detail-oriented, organized and ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly while maintaining control of deliverables
Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
Team player with a positive attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance in financial operations
Preferred
CPA a plus
Experience with ERP system design and functionality
Experience with financial software (e.g. NetSuite), AP automation tools (e.g. Ramp, Concur) and project management tools such as Monday.com
Experience with multiple entity accounting
