Patriot Rail is currently looking for Summer Interns for its Corporate office in Jacksonville, FL, specifically for its Safety Team. The intern will support regulatory compliance reviews, assist in developing safety policies, participate in audits and inspections, and help organize EHS training sessions.

Responsibilities

Will have the Opportunity to support regulatory compliance reviews focusing on OHSA, FRA, and other relevant standards with assistance and guidance from manager

Learn and assist in developing, reviewing, and updating EHS/OSHA dedicated policies, procedures, and standards with the help and supervision of manager

Participate in field audits, site inspections, and safety observations, including supervised travel to aid in the learning process

Contribute to incident investigations and root cause analyses

Help organize and deliver EHS training sessions or FOCUS calls

Required

Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Sophomore standing or above in college

Effective oral and written communication skills

Preferred majors: Safety Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Environmental Health and Safety, or related scientific or analytical fields
