Responsibilities

Manage project safety, quality, and schedule for all assigned projects from kickoff to closeout
Ensure Peterson standards of quality and safety are adhered to by the entire construction team
Mentor and develop other Peterson team members while effectively managing the overall projects
Work collaboratively with the Project Manager, project team members and subcontractors
Represent Peterson in a professional manner with integrity, focusing on doing the right thing
Must provide adequate transportation to and from job sites while maintaining acceptable driving record set by the Peterson Companies insurance carrier
Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with clients, project team, consultants/architects/engineers, and subcontractor, adjacent community, and governmental agencies
Responsible for project set-up, project site logistics, field coordination, and project schedule
Review all project documents for constructability and content, including shop drawings
Maintain and update project records including RFI’s, ASI’s and as-builts
Supervise and coordinate all subcontractors and client contractors
Create and enforce a site specific safety plan for assigned projects in collaboration with the Safety Manager
Coordinate building inspections, subcontractors inspections, and third party inspections
Perform daily site walks and submit daily reports and progress photos
Conduct subcontractor meetings, pre-task meetings, safety meetings, high hazard meetings, and OAC meetings in conjunction with the Project Manager
Utilize all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Use project management and scheduling software effectively
Attend company events including meetings, training and workshops, etc
Other related duties as assigned or needed

Required

Minimum 5 years of experience as superintendent or equivalent role, in the commercial construction industry
Must be 30hr OSHA certified
Solid understanding of the commercial construction industry, site safety requirements, planning, scheduling, building trade sequence of work, and relevant technology
Key components are leadership, initiative, communication, teamwork, managing for results, and coaching & mentoring
Must be able to manage all types of projects, public, warehouse, commercial, tenant improvement, build to suits, ground up, and infrastructure
Technical skills: Procore, Microsoft project, Outbuild, Excel, Bluebeam
