Responsibilities
Prepare and manage multi-state sales and use tax filings ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts related to tax liabilities and payments
Collaborate with internal teams to address tax-related issues and provide guidance on tax compliance matters
Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for data analysis, reporting, and tax calculations
Assist in audits and reviews by gathering necessary documentation and responding to inquiries
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations affecting corporate tax processes
Identify opportunities for process improvements within tax operations to enhance efficiency
Provide support for month-end and year-end closing processes related to tax reporting
Communicate effectively with state and local tax authorities to resolve issues and ensure compliance
Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations for management regarding tax matters
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate tax compliance or a related field
Proficiency in managing sales and use tax for multiple states
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including functions, formulas, and data analysis
Solid understanding of general ledger systems and reconciliation processes
Ability to interpret and apply tax laws and regulations effectively
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities
Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, for collaboration and reporting
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness
