Technical Services Specialist
EMS Management & Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Technical Solutions Specialist responsible for supporting the design, configuration, and delivery of technical solutions for revenue cycle operations. The role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure technology meets customer-specific requirements and includes responsibilities such as requirement gathering, testing, and providing training.

Responsibilities
Support the design, configuration, and delivery of reports, dashboards, and data solutions needed to meet internal and client needs
Partner with stakeholders to gather business requirements, document workflows, and translate needs into clear technical specifications
Partner with Sales and Client Success teams to onboard new customers throughout the sales cycle, including proposal review, customer onboarding meetings, and technical requirements gathering
Perform testing and quality assurance for new reports, data extracts, and system enhancements to ensure accuracy and reliability
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for data requirements related to customer data Accounts Receivable (AR) conversions
Troubleshoot issues related to reporting, data integrity, and system integrations, escalating as needed to technical teams
Serve as a subject matter resource on EMS|MC’s data structures, reporting tools, and revenue cycle workflows
Help develop and maintain documentation for data definitions and solution requirements
Provide training and education to internal users on customer-specific solutions and data usage best practices
Identify opportunities to improve processes, create standardization, and promote automation
Ensure all data handling complies with privacy, security, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, a related field or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in a technical, reporting, analytics, or solutions-focused role
Detailed knowledge of EMS revenue cycle processes, data structures, and existing technical solutions
Proficiency with Structured Query Language (SQL) and working knowledge of relational databases
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex data questions
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple tasks or projects simultaneously
Proficiency in English is necessary for job-related communication, including understanding policies, writing correspondence, and engaging with colleagues or clients
Preferred
Experience in healthcare technology, EMS/ambulance billing, or revenue cycle management
Knowledge of HL7, NEMSIS, X12, or other healthcare data standards
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Background in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or similar)
Experience with supporting client implementations or technical pre-sales activities
