Responsibilities

Develop and foster relationships with NRT office personnel to build business and referrals
Go outside to key referral relationships to develop and drive mortgage business into the company
Coach/mentor team of VPs/Los, Originating Managers, and Sales Assistants to increase production, efficiency, and quality of work to ensure they achieve their individual performance plan
Utilize analytical information provided and real-time experience in the area to analyze trends in both local/niche market and customer profiles to identify potential sales opportunities
Accountable for attaining origination, revenue, recruiting/attrition, compliance, and profitability goals
Serves as mortgage expert for branch and field personnel in assigned region
Identify and develop existing staff to build bench strength
Responsible for the execution of the performance management process of the area sales team
Recruit, hire, and onboard new loan officers
Coach direct reports to achieve production goals
Monitor quality levels of loan originators to ensure adherence to standards and actively manage underperformers to meet established performance levels
Perform Human Resource tasks for the team, such as exception time reporting, performance reviews, coaching, performance management, and identifying training issues
Meet or exceed personal production goals
Identify and implement plans to increase production and leverage business opportunities within a designated span of control
Adhere to the Company’s product and pricing guidelines
Ensure proper management of expenses
Monitor pipeline and process flow for all subordinates daily to prevent problems and delayed closings
Complete tasks in a timely manner and work amicably with others

Required

High school diploma or GED equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred
4+ years of residential mortgage sales management experience with a proven record of recruiting success
$10MM in annual closed loan volume
Expert knowledge of CFPB disclosure requirements, Guaranteed Rate Affinity POD flow, secondary market pricing scenarios, and investor guidelines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service focus
Ability to think strategically and display excellent problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial persona with excellent time-management skills
A thorough knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, GNMA, mortgage insurer guidelines, TIL regulations, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, RESPA regulations, local and state real estate and finance laws, and Company Policy Compliance and Ethics Codes
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams and drive results through coaching and mentoring
Proven success in building production, profit, and identifying market opportunities
Knowledge of and ability to efficiently use technology, various lending software, and to work successfully in a paperless environment
Work requires the ability to multitask and to be flexible, with a strong desire to excel in a competitive environment
Proven decision-making capabilities with the ability to understand implications on a global and micro level
Innovative thinking that provides solutions to problems and issues
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Must meet and comply with all requirements for Mortgage Loan Originators set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to, successful completion of the required background checks and obtaining a Unique Identifier from the NMLRS
