Staff Auditor
The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates is looking to hire a full-time Staff Auditor for the Credit Union Audit Group. The role involves traveling to different credit unions to conduct audits, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and supporting credit union personnel with technical problems and training sessions.

Responsibilities
Travel to different credit unions to conduct cash counts
Complete interim and annual reports
Complete compliance audits
Ensure credit union's operations and procedures are correct and comply with the law
Perform highly technical audits and management analysis
Assist with technical problems
Attend conferences and training sessions for credit union personnel, supervisory committees, and credit union boards
Promote •LEVERAGE • products and services to generate leads and referrals to Business Development Consultant teams
Maintain relationships with federal and state supervisory agencies
Keep a record of all work contacts, activities, and expense reports in NetSuite
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or on track to obtain bachelor's degree in accounting within three months of hire
Six to twelve months of general accounting experience, including knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and methods
Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to state/federal credit unions and the ability to detect violations and non-compliance of state/federal rules and regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
A valid driver's license is required
Must live locally in Virginia or be willing to relocate
Preferred
Credit Union experience a plus
Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) and Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS) designations preferred; or must be obtained within 24 months
