Responsibilities

Perform drywall repairs including patching holes, sealing cracks, and texture matching to maintain interior appearance standards
Execute interior and exterior painting projects with proper surface preparation, priming, and finish application
Handle routine plumbing maintenance including fixture repairs, faucet replacement, toilet installation, and drain clearing
Perform basic electrical work including outlet installation, light fixture replacement, switch repairs, and circuit troubleshooting
Conduct regular building inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards while maintaining accurate work order records
Respond to tenant maintenance requests and prepare vacant spaces for new occupancy through cleaning, painting, and minor repairs
Maintain building envelope integrity through roof repairs, caulking, waterproofing, and exterior area upkeep

Required

High school diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of building maintenance experience
Practical knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting techniques
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively with strong attention to detail
Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders in various building environments
Strong quality workmanship standards with ability to complete projects independently
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations compliance requirements
Effective communication skills for tenant interaction and property management coordination

Preferred

Trade experience in construction or building maintenance fields
Basic electrical or plumbing certifications from recognized institutions
Experience in commercial real estate maintenance and property operations
Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and work order management systems
Knowledge of building envelope systems and weatherproofing techniques
Experience with tenant improvement projects and space modification coordination
Carpentry skills including trim work, shelving installation, and basic framing
