Intelligent Manufacturing Solutions (IMS) is seeking a Sr. Manager for Systems, Integration and Test Engineering. This role oversees engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle, focusing on defining and implementing strategies for testing and validation.

Responsibilities

Provides mastery-level system integration and test engineering expertise to a team

Leads hardware and software integration and verification testing at acceptance, and qualification levels for all relevant environments (vibration, thermal, vacuum)

Develops verification plans, test procedures, and test flows, and lead the execution of test procedures

Document test results in reports to ensure system requirements are met

Identify and resolve technical issues and anomalies during integration and testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address discrepancies

Collaborate with cross-discipline teams (systems, mechanical, structural, thermal, power, optical, electrical) in development, integration, and execution

Represent BU during major system level design reviews including System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), and Pre-Shipment Review (PSR)

Provide direction and motivation to engineering staff in reporting area to ensure successful execution of the team’s responsibilities on all programs

Partner across functions and make a lasting impact on product integrity, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence

Provide performance management and developmental opportunities for existing staff as well as recruit new talent in order to meet technical gaps

Support in the development and execution of the strategic technology vision and roadmap to address new and emerging equipment and technologies

Manage BU’s IRAD budget

Deliver products and services that meet cost, quality, and time expectations by working collaboratively with customers and employees

Ensure internal processes and programs produce products that meet or exceed customers’ expectations

Establish goals and objectives for the Engineering team within area of responsibility

Travel, domestic and international, may be required to support business needs

Required

U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements

Strong project management skills

Solid understanding of optical and electromechanical systems and hardware

Ability to effectively communicate and transfer system architecture and design knowledge with other disciplines including software and hardware engineering, manufacturing, program management, suppliers and customers

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines

Willingness to take on project ownership and accountability

Bachelor's degree and minimum of 12 years or Graduate degree and minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience

10+ years' experience with system level verifications including allocation, testability, flow down, analysis, testing and demonstration in a DoD environment

8+ years' experience writing technical documentation and developing analysis and reports

8+ years' experience in a SEIT leadership role

8+ years' experience participating in SRR, PDR, CDR and TRR reviews

Proficient with standard engineering software
