Responsibilities
Lead the strategic sourcing lifecycle, from market analysis and RFP development to contract negotiation, execution, and ongoing supplier management
Identify opportunities for new and innovative contracts within the healthcare supply chain
Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key supplier partners and internal stakeholders
Analyze industry trends, economic factors, and supply chain dynamics to ensure Alliant's portfolio remains competitive and relevant
Present business cases and contract recommendations to executive leadership and members
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of dedicated healthcare sourcing and contracting experience within a GPO, health system, or major healthcare provider
Demonstrable high degree of healthcare industry knowledge, including familiarity with value analysis, utilization management, and regulatory environments
Direct, hands-on experience sourcing and negotiating contracts for complex, high-dollar physician preference products and service categories, specifically cardiovascular, orthopedic, and surgical services
Candidates who possess extensive experience (5+ years) in physician preference category sales, analytics, or business intelligence will be considered in lieu of direct sourcing experience, provided they possess a deep understanding of supplier economics, contracting structures, and the competitive landscape for these products
Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must adhere to confidentiality policy
Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check
