Responsibilities
Work closely with cybersecurity technologists/architects to define improvement and innovation initiatives and long-term strategies
Lead and implement the Siemens ONE SOC strategy together with our internal stakeholders to have a unified approach for Siemens ONE TECH strategy
Ensure close collaboration with TI and CERT as one virtual team, further develop on the related cybersecurity strategy with breakdown into roadmaps and drive actively productivity measures to ensure the transformation of the Siemens ONE TECH strategy into Cybersecurity
Represent CDC in high-level meetings and workshops, both internally and externally. Position CDC during the integration or separation of Siemens entities, strengthen relationships with stakeholders, and build effective feedback loops. Support the definition and implementation of the overall organizational cybersecurity strategy
Ensure continuous and seamless monitoring of security events and incidents across Siemens' IT & OT environments. Drive the development and implementation of IT and OT security monitoring to ensure adequate protection of the company's constantly evolving infrastructure
Manage and align with a globally distributed team specializing in security operations center & threat detection in IT and OT environments. Lead internal relations, manage direct reports, ensure adequate coverage, training, resource planning, and roadmap orchestration
Oversee service excellence within the diverse structure of Siemens and manage the complete SOC operations lifecycle. Maintain stakeholder relationships, coordinate global service operations, establish KPIs and metrics, and make decisions related to tooling and service processes. Adjust and update the scope of services as needed in response to feedback, regulatory requirements, best practices, and industry standards (NIST, MITRE, ISO 27001, etc.)
Responsibly manage the finances and budget of the CDC organization. Lead the planning and budget negotiations for the service portfolio, including scope, and provide input for annual budget cycles
Organize and coordinate contributions to central and partner-driven projects, collaborating with businesses, FT, IT and internal departments like CERT and Threat Intelligence. Oversee the development and maintenance of a robust tooling stack to support CDC/SOC operations and collaborations
Foster and ensure close collaboration with neighboring teams such as threat intelligence, CERT, and ProductCERT, as well as with academic and research partners
Ensure CDC’s presence in industry associations and major conferences, maintain exchanges with other SOCs and cybersecurity organizations, and foster partnerships with universities, research centers, and regional agencies
Qualification
Required
Masters Degree in Information Technology, Computational Science, business information technology or similar from an accredited university
5-8 years work experience in at least one of the following areas: Cybersecurity operations / SOC operations, Incident Response, Threat Detection, Threat Intelligence, Penetration Testing or Vulnerability Management
Advanced experience in critical cybersecurity services within time and budget
Experience in leading technical specialists in distributed settings and complex environments
Experience presenting and explaining complex technical topics to both management and technical partners
Self-guided with the clear desire to become an acknowledged advisor inside and outside of our global Siemens cyber security community
Established network to the worldwide cybersecurity community
Fluent in spoken and written English, including security terminology
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred
Excellent ability to interact with both technical specialists and non-technical staff in exceptional situations to ensure correct actions are taken and communication partners collaborate
Strategic thinking and cross-collaboration
German language skills are a plus
