Tool Engineering Section Manager

Responsibilities

Overseeing progress and development of significant tooling projects
Championing continuous process improvements that reduce design cycle time and design errors
Fostering a teaming environment for knowledge sharing
Promoting a culture that the Tool Engineering team is a heavily relied upon and respected resource
Managing a team of Tooling Engineers and ensuring the group is in compliance with Raytheon directives and industry regulations

Required

Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 10 years prior relevant experience
Leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
CAD experience preferably with PTC products (e.g. Creo)
Experience with GD&T and/or blueprint reading
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
DoD Clearance: Secret

Preferred

Previous Tool Engineering leadership experience
Experience championing process improvements
Knowledgeable of the requirements associated with the acquisition of Special Tooling and specifically the FAR as well as requirements associated with the Property Management requirements associated with Government owned property
SAP/Prism knowledge and proficiency
Experience with design for manufacturability and advanced material handling technologies
Experience incorporating ergonomics and human factors into design
Strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills
