Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical systems for downhole tools, including:
Rotary Steerable Systems (RSS)
Mud Motors
MWD/LWD tools
Execute mechanical design from concept through testing and field deployment
Support prototyping, testing, and failure analysis efforts
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams
Qualification
Required
BS in Mechanical Engineering
8+ years of experience in downhole tool development
Hands-on experience with RSS, motors and/or MWD/LWD tools
Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Creo or similar)
Preferred
Houston-based experience preferred
