Responsibilities
Performs secretarial work of considerable variety and complexity that entails delegated administrative responsibilities, including clerical and fiscal duties, processing payroll, record retention, and preparing agenda items and ordinances
Acts as recording secretary to various boards; interprets policies/regulations and composes/types correspondence that requires detailed working knowledge of the organization
Initiates, processes, and follows-up on personnel forms and records for travel, position vacancies, new position openings, and promotions
Maintains files and records of correspondence per records retention guidelines
Prepares summary productivity and semiannual reports; prepares legal documents for recording in the public records
May supervise clerical staff/temporary employees to complete assigned tasks
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification
Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible office experience
Includes six (6) months reviewing, overseeing, and leading the work of others
Preferred
Customer service in person/over the phone
Using MS Word/Excel/Outlook and maintaining databases
Hearings and minutes
Previous supervisory experience
