Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy is committed to equity and excellence in education, particularly for culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse students. They are seeking Program Assistants for their PROMISE Program, which provides academic enrichment for 7th and 8th graders interested in STEM, requiring attendance and support during Saturday sessions.

Responsibilities

Attend all scheduled Saturday program sessions, including orientation

Supervision duties begin the moment the first tutor arrives until the last student departs at the conclusion of the program

Providing support during each session check in, classroom setup, transitions, etc

Weekly check of student tutor eligibility, including sending notifications of ineligibility

Attend all preparation meetings such as tutor training

Assist Program Manager gather materials as needed

Serve as liaison with parents regarding safety, security, or emotional concerns as needed

Evaluate program effectiveness to develop improved methods

All other duties as assigned
