Structural Engineer IV
The Columbia Group (TCG) is a technical services support company with over 50 years of experience serving the United States government. They are seeking a Structural Engineer IV to perform engineering analyses and design studies for UxV systems, ensuring they meet mission requirements and can withstand environmental stresses.

Responsibilities
Perform engineering analyses of customer mission and performance requirements to define UxV attributes in engineering terms
Perform engineering studies leading to the allocation of UxV attributes to UxV systems in terms of design direction, performance, configuration, space and weight, and arrangement
Perform design and engineering studies to identify the degree of UxV systems integration required to meet the mission requirements
Provide Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) of designs in the form of technical products such as drawings, conceptual and product engineering designs, calculations, schematics, reports, etc
Ensure structures can withstand the stresses and pressures imposed by use and the environment
Calculate stability, strength and rigidity and make sure the right materials are used for shipbuilding programs
Qualification
Required
Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering
Minimum 10+ years of professional experience
Relevant engineering experience related R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs
Top Secret clearance
US Citizenship
Preferred
Master's in engineering
15+ years of professional experience
engineering experience related R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs for Navy shipbuilding and defense systems
