Solution Architect – ECommerce & Payments
SRM Digital LLC is seeking a hands-on Solution Architect for ECommerce & Payments who enjoys solving complex problems. This role involves designing and piloting a 'Zero-Exit' fulfillment engine, focusing on creating a reliable system for managing customer demand while ensuring payment security and compliance.
Responsibilities
You’ll architect a hybrid decision engine that knows when to:
Use deterministic, API-driven workflows for low-risk, predictable paths
Switch to agentic AI workflows (headless browsers) when APIs don’t exist or flows are non-standard
You’ll design infrastructure that allows AI agents to:
Navigate real-world checkout flows
Handle dynamic DOMs and non-standard UX
Operate reliably without human intervention — until intervention is truly needed
You’ll define the technical flow that:
Accepts the customer’s native payment securely
Generates Virtual Commercial Cards for third-party settlement
Maintains a double-ledger system so money is always traceable, auditable, and compliant
You’ll design:
Guardrails using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) so agents never guess prices, SKUs, or availability
Hard constraints around what an agent is allowed to buy
A human-in-the-loop escalation path for captchas, MFA challenges, or high-risk transactions
You’ll map workflows for:
Retrieving return labels from third-party merchants
Presenting returns to customers in a native, seamless way
Tracking the full lifecycle from purchase → delivery → return → reconciliation
Qualification
Required
Real experience deploying LLM-based agents that use tools or function calling
Deep hands-on experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium at scale
Strong payments background especially Virtual Card Issuing and Merchant of Record models
A security-first mindset with clear separation of PII / PCI data from AI inference layers
