Computer Systems Administrator/Network Administrator

Responsibilities

Serving as an Information Technology (IT) specialist responsible for supporting Client systems
Resolving IT support requests from employees answering computer system issues
Communicates with employees on status of service requests, updating IT trouble tickets as needed
Strong technical knowledge of DoD enterprise Networks and Client Computing solutions
Diagnose and resolve end user computer issues
Provides COMSEC manager duties
Maintains networked systems

Required

U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor's degree in Information security, computer information systems, or a related field, such as IT, science, or engineering. A High School Diploma plus 6 years of applicable experience or an Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience will meet the education qualification in lieu of BS degree
At least 3 years' relevant experience
Experience with COMSEC, including devices such as TACLANEs, ViPERs, Key Management
Experience with enterprise software management for large organizations
Ability to effectively communicate between multiple organizations to resolve technical issues
Must have a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance, due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements
Possess proper and current information assurance certification to perform information assurance functions in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program (Security+)

Preferred

Strong communication and customer service mindset able to explain complex technical concepts in simple language
High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware
Troubleshooting background able to gather/analyze data to isolate root cause of issues
Able to change configurations, setting & permissions to fix computer problems
Ability to install or update existing software and hardware drivers
Possesses strong Linux OS skills, encompassing programming, scripting, system configuration, and troubleshooting
Experience with maintaining, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting multiple networks
