Responsibilities

Lead the overall financial planning process, including annual planning, quarterly reforecasting, and monthly reporting and variance analysis
Partner with the leadership team and budget owners to align headcount requirements, operating costs, inventory production, and capital expenditures
Work closely with R&D finance to understand assumptions and trends on clinical spend
Maintain models for cash flow forecasting, scenario planning, and long-range projections
Prepare monthly and quarterly dashboards and reports including key operational metrics and commentary
Review contracts and purchase orders for adherence to approved annual budgets
Collaborate with accounting on month-end close to ensure accurate accruals and categorization of expenses
Assist in preparing financial materials for the board of directors, investor relations and potential M&A or strategic deals
Support ad hoc projects and initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
8+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis and accounting, preferably in the life sciences industry
Understanding of US GAAP
Experience with financial systems and tools including ERPs, financial planning tools Excel, PowerPoint, etc
Enjoys a fast-growth, dynamic environment
Strong business acumen and understanding of business strategy
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex information into articulate, audience-appropriate narratives
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of successful cross-functional partnerships
Is self-directed, able to navigate ambiguity, and switch gears as the business dictates
Willing to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement

Preferred

Knowledge of NetSuite and Workday Adaptive Planning preferred but not required
