Responsibilities
Full lifecycle SQL Server administration (installation, upgrades, patches, backups, recovery)
Performance tuning, capacity planning, and schema management
Supporting SQL Server environments including SharePoint farms
Implementing and managing SQL Server Always On
Database security, authentication, and recovery planning
Automating jobs and scripting batch data loads
Working with Cohesity Backup Appliance
Applying cloud technology knowledge and governance best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
7+ years of experience with SQL Server or database/OS administration
6+ years hands-on administrative experience with SQL Server RDBMS
6+ years' experience managing backup, recovery, and high availability scenarios
6+ years hands-on database development, performance tuning, and optimization
6+ years' experience with Microsoft Operating Systems, SQL Server clustered environments, and T-SQL programming
6+ years experience writing and optimizing SQL queries and scripting
4+ years strong experience with SQL Server Always On High Availability Groups
4+ years experience performing SQL Server migrations
3+ years experience with database space management, storage design, and capacity planning following best practices
4+ years ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with technical teams and management
3+ years experience creating ER diagrams, database documentation, data dictionaries, and system architecture documentation
