Marketing Representative-Health Plan

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a Marketing Representative to play a vital role in Medicaid and CHIP membership growth and retention. The representative will be responsible for community outreach, marketing, and building relationships with health plan members and partners.

Responsibilities

Responsible for highly sensitive levels of interaction with perspective and current Health Plan Members and partners
Demonstrates decision-making and problem solving skills, including collecting and analyzing information and data, development of alternative courses of action
Be a subject matter expert in Community outreach, Marketing, presenting, promoting and marketing our programs to perspective members; individuals, groups, community organizations, healthcare professionals, etc
Develop presentations and outreach initiatives to various target audiences
Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with community contacts
Assure compliance with HHSC Marketing policies and procedures

Required

A minimum of two (2) years successful Marketing and/or Outreach experience for a health plan or community based organization with specific experience in Medicaid/CHIP managed care outreach, event planning, social work, or other related position
Community Health Worker certification will be required within 1 year of hire
Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable motor vehicle
Must be a self-starter with a high level of accountability and responsibility
Able to work within a Public Health and Community Outreach 'goal oriented' environment
Processes administrative tasks (e.g. Data collection and program implementation) accurately, completely and on time
Plans and prepares for daily, weekly and monthly scheduled activities to achieve desired results
Manages and utilizes time and territory efficiently to keep track of a variety of tasks and achieve results
Track and trend membership and market growth according to Department guidelines
Communication Skills • Public speaking skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read, communicate and present message clearly and concisely, making adjustments for the audience, both verbally and in writing

Preferred

Associate Degree is preferred. In lieu of Associate Degree four (4) years of directly related outreach experience at an MCO or Community Organization
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
