Manager, Accounting

The Manager within the SEC Reporting Group is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of Mastercard’s financial statements, including preparation and analysis of cash flows, SEC reports, and financial communications.

Responsibilities
Preparation and analysis of the quarterly statement of cash flows
Support the preparation and filing of periodic SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.), ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
Preparation and review of financial reports for senior management and board presentations
Work closely with investor relations, legal and finance
Help to ensure consistency and clarity in financial communications
Coordinate major reporting dates and help maintain the financial reporting calendar
Focus on automation solutions and streamlining manual processes
Monitor changes in SEC regulations and accounting standards and implement changes as necessary to reporting processes and/ or disclosures
Coordinate and review the annual proxy statement and validate all related financial support
Assist with ad-hoc reporting, special projects and queries
Assist internal and external auditors for SOX testing and compliance
Maintain a strong internal control environment
Qualification
Required
BS or MS in Accounting required
CPA (completed or in progress) required
Preferred
Public accounting background
Experience in financial reporting and accounting
The ideal candidate is fast-paced, highly analytical, organized and detail-oriented who demonstrates the sense of urgency and business acumen to deliver results within a global, growing and profitable business
Ability to work independently and in groups to complete time-sensitive projects with internal and external deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. A team player with the ability to communicate effectively and develop solid working relationships across multiple levels and organizational boundaries
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Hyperion Smartview, Oracle and Workiva a plus
