Responsibilities
Provide senior-level mechanical engineering support for Combined Cycle (CCGT) power generation projects from construction through commissioning and turnover
Act as a technical subject matter expert for gas and steam turbine mechanical systems , rotating equipment, and balance-of-plant systems
Support and troubleshoot mechanical systems during construction, commissioning, startup, and outage activities
Lead and support field execution activities, ensuring compliance with mechanical design, safety standards, and commissioning requirements
Interface closely with project management, construction, commissioning, OEMs, and contractors to resolve technical issues and maintain schedule alignment
Provide hands-on expertise with Mitsubishi turbine platforms , including installation, alignment, inspection, and commissioning support
Review mechanical designs, drawings, procedures, and commissioning plans to ensure constructability and operational readiness
Support outage planning, mechanical system turnover, and startup activities as required
Serve as a senior technical resource within a small, experienced engineering team, mentoring junior engineers as needed
Qualification
Required
Candidates with 6+ years in a heavy construction or field execution environment will also be considered
Strong background in mechanical systems, rotating equipment, turbines, and balance-of-plant systems within power generation facilities
Hands-on experience with Mitsubishi turbine equipment (gas and/or steam)
Ability to confidently classify yourself as a turbine-focused mechanical expert
Proven experience supporting construction, commissioning, startup, and outage activities on large-scale generation projects
Strong communication skills with the ability to interface across engineering, construction, and leadership teams
Willingness to travel approximately 75% to active project sites
Preferred
10+ years of experience supporting Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) projects
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
