Responsibilities

Provide technical support for daily plant operations, including troubleshooting chemical and process-related issues
Design and maintain measurement and control systems to improve process reliability and efficiency
Analyze production data (cycle time, productivity, uptime, yields) to identify trends and optimize processes
Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Process Safety Management (PSM) documentation, and Management of Change (MOC) forms
Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) and ensure regulatory compliance for environmental performance
Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure product specifications and testing protocols are met
Lead or support small to medium capital projects, including design, implementation, and commissioning
Maintain and improve process documentation, including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and mass balances
Contribute to incident investigations and root cause analyses, supporting corrective actions
Provide technical training and mentorship to operators and team members

Required

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of process control systems and applicable regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with PSM, MOC, and risk assessment methodologies
Ability to work in a manufacturing setting, including climbing stairs/ladders and wearing required PPE

Preferred

Familiarity with distillation, wastewater treatment, acid handling, cooling water, and refrigeration systems
