The Refund Processing Specialist will be responsible for accurately processing refund checks and reissuing requests for customers, ensuring timely execution of all refund-related activities while collaborating closely with the Refund Processing Team and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Process refund check requests and reissue requests with accuracy and timeliness

Initiate customer communications to obtain required documentation for refund processing

Update account records and Salesforce cases with relevant notes and status updates

Verify previous check status and initiate stop payment requests when necessary

Ensure all tasks are completed within defined SLA timeframes

Crosstrain on additional refund processing functions to support team flexibility

Other duties as assigned

Required

Minimum of 1–2 years of operational experience, preferably in financial services or a related field

Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently meet daily SLAs

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)

Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team

Demonstrated capability to manage daily tasks with minimal supervision
