Responsibilities
Design, build, and operate high-performance network, storage, and server systems
Analyze lab and business requirements to recommend optimal infrastructure specifications
Establish monitoring frameworks and operational processes to improve utilization and performance
Lead infrastructure procurement reviews with a focus on performance and cost efficiency
Conduct technical evaluations and proofs-of-concept for vendor solutions
Collaborate closely with datacenter and server room operations teams
Provide leadership for new datacenter builds, upgrades, and redesign projects
Monitor system health and environmental controls to ensure uninterrupted services
Define and document architectural standards, patterns, and best practices
Manage infrastructure assets and overall datacenter/network operational status
Design, deploy, and operate scalable infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and GCP
Manage and optimize Kubernetes and Docker environments
Monitor cloud usage and drive cost-optimization strategies
Ensure high availability, stability, and performance across cloud and container platforms
Partner with network, security, and operations teams for seamless infrastructure integration
Participate in enterprise-wide infrastructure projects as a systems and solutions expert
Monitor IT resource utilization and develop optimization roadmaps
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience (or Master's with 3+ years)
4+ years of hands-on experience in datacenter, server, and storage administration
Strong expertise in: HPE, Cisco, Dell, Lenovo, NetApp
AWS, Azure, GCP
Kubernetes, Docker
Linux & Windows Server
VMware & virtualization
Active Directory, enterprise backup solutions
Networking protocols and high-speed datacenter networking
Experience with on-prem + cloud hybrid architectures
Proven ability to design and support datacenter construction or expansion projects
