Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN issues and replace defective components as needed
Respond as needed to support requests related to LAN development and support
Provide off-shift support for critical incidents (team members rotate on-call)
Work directly with business partners and vendors for infrastructure integration
Design and implement processes and improvements for development and support
Follow ITSM process and documentation for all changes
Collaborate with other technical teams (firewall, VPN, wireless, NAC, etc.)
Advise business partners regarding technical questions in the LAN space
Qualification
Required
5–7 years of progressively responsible Network Engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in a computer-related or engineering-related field
OR equivalent experience with minimum 8 years in a similar capacity
LAN implementation and support
Knowledge of risk domains, tiered domains, TCP/IP fundamentals, ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting, copper & fiber cabling
OSPF, VLAN Trunking, VLANs, switching configuration
Functional experience with LAN operations using Cisco switches
Familiarity with Cisco equipment
Ability to work collaboratively and positively in team environments
Preferred
CCNA
Experience with automation technologies and scripting
Experience with DNA Center (Catalyst Center)
Wireless experience
Medium to large enterprise experience
