The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing, and developing robust, scalable databases to support complex applications and business needs, while also leading database development and performance optimization efforts.

Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server
Lead end-to-end database development, including schema design, stored procedures, triggers, indexing, and performance optimization
Design and implement data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) to support business requirements
Conduct database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning
Define and implement database best practices, development standards, and guidelines
Collaborate closely with application development teams, DevOps, and BI teams to integrate databases seamlessly into applications
Ensure high availability, backup, disaster recovery planning, and maintenance strategies are in place
Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring for database developers and junior team members
Participate in cloud readiness and migration projects, ensuring databases are optimized for cloud environments
Qualification
Required
Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server
Lead end-to-end database development, including schema design, stored procedures, triggers, indexing, and performance optimization

Conduct database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning

Collaborate closely with application development teams, DevOps, and BI teams to integrate databases seamlessly into applications
Ensure high availability, backup, disaster recovery planning, and maintenance strategies are in place
Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring for database developers and junior team members
Participate in cloud readiness and migration projects, ensuring databases are optimized for cloud environments
12-18 years of overall experience in database design and development, with primary expertise in AWS Microsoft SQL Server
The ideal candidate should be proficient in configuring alerts, analyzing Metrics, Logs, and Traces
Capable of configuring the OpenTelemetry collector framework, analyzing the data, and producing the required dashboard as per customer specifications
Configuring alerts and monitoring in AWS
Expertise in OpenTelemetry framework
Utilizing Terraform and scripting for infrastructure automation
Integrating and working with Sumo Logic and New Relic for observability
Proven experience in SQL Server Development T-SQL, stored procedures, views, triggers, UDFs, indexing, etc
Strong experience in data modeling (OLTP and OLAP), ERD tools, normalization, and schema design
Expertise in performance tuning query optimization, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis
Proficient in database architecture design, capacity planning, and partitioning strategies
Hands-on experience with SSIS/SSRS or similar data integration and reporting tools
Exposure to cloud platforms like Azure SQL or Amazon RDS for SQL Server deployment, configuration, and basic troubleshooting
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred
Experience in cloud-native databases (MS SQL, AWS RDS, or Aurora)
Familiarity with CI/CD practices and integrating SQL code in DevOps pipelines
Exposure to NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cosmos DB is an added advantage
