Responsibilities
Oversee, prepare and/or review approximately 250 federal, state and local income tax returns, plus extensions, estimates and other income tax-related filings. Timely and accurate filings are a must
Review work prepared by in-house offshore US tax team for accuracy and completeness
Handle correspondence with tax authorities and manage audits, notices, and inquiries
Research tax issues and provide practical solutions and recommendations
Train, mentor, and evaluate offshore US tax team (3 members)
Improve tax processes and recommend best practices for implementation for efficiency and accuracy
Leverage external advisors efficiently to ensure accuracy of Dentsu tax returns. Responsible for Dentsu tax compliance budget
Assist Tax Director in ad-hoc tax planning and special projects
Qualification
Required
Minimum of seven years of experience in corporation income tax return preparation and review
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Excellent organizational & analytical skills
Experience with tax research and compliance related software, and accounting/ERP systems
Preferred
Experience in public accounting or tax advisory services
Experience in large multinational corporate tax department
CPA, EA, or equivalent professional certification preferred
Working knowledge with OneSource compliance software highly desired
Client service mindset with a proactive approach
