Responsibilities

Write product or system development code

Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback

Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality

Design and develop ISO GQL query language new features (e.g., DML, DQL, DDL) on Spanner Graph and design and develop query engine performance optimizations on Spanner Graph

Work with internal and external customers and the go-to-market (GTM) team to enable deployment of production solutions

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

5 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, Python, Objective C, JavaScript, or Go

Experience designing and developing relational databases, database internals, information retrieval, query planning and execution

Preferred

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields

2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms

Experience developing accessible technologies

Experience with query compilers, plan generation, and execution engines with knowledge of GQL or Cypher

Understanding of concurrency control, consensus algorithms (e.g., Paxos), and data replication strategies
