Hardlines Assistant Manager-Full-Time
Farm & Home Supply is seeking a Hardlines Assistant Manager to assist in managing store operations and personnel. This role involves providing excellent customer service, supervising staff, and ensuring departmental efficiency.
Farming
Responsibilities
Provides customers with outstanding service through friendly, quick and accurate assistance
Supervises and coordinates the activities of all store staff, recommending measures to improve performance and increase efficiency
Recommends or initiates personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, discharges, disciplinary measures; trains and coaches new, as well as, current employees to the store standards
Assists in planning, directing and coordinating safety and loss prevention programs
Assists in the analysis of financial impacts of risks on the company within authority, managing inventory and implementing appropriate techniques to minimize shrink
Performs all basic job functions such as email, operating a register, bookkeeping, scanning, operating a pallet jack, tow motor, price changes, setting ads, merchandising, checking in freight, in-store pickup, managing the Outfitter utilization and product financing and registration
Confers with Management to identify, plan and develop methods and procedures to obtain greater profit and efficiency in our business
Prepares and submits various management reports and employee work schedules
Reviews ads, circulars and bulletins to keep current on price changes in the store
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Weight lifting capability up to and includes 80 lbs
Required on-line Job Training available on our Outfitter’s website along with reviewing and updating the Outfitter’s learning management system
Reviews and reports merchandise overages and outages to the buying staff and Regional Director
Ensures the repair shop is running effectively
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to any of the Farm & Home locations
Completes special projects directed by the Store Manager and additional responsibilities may be assigned throughout the store at any given time to meet the needs of the business
Qualification
Required
At least 3-5 years retail experience
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and train store personnel
Strong customer service, sales and organizational skills
Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members that want to grow
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel to any of the Farm & Home locations
Weight lifting capability up to and includes 80 lbs
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
