Responsibilities

Perform engineering tests on hot mix asphalt, aggregate, and recycled asphalt pavement in a laboratory setting

Extract and prepare pavement core samples for testing

Maintain accurate reports and documentation of all test results

Maintain and calibrate laboratory testing equipment

Assist with developing TDOT-approved job mix formulas for hot mix asphalt

Support preparation of quality control plans

Communicate effectively with asphalt plant operators and TDOT officials

Build productive working relationships to support quality asphalt production
